As of Fall 2022, Emerson College is proud to offer our reimagined Master of Arts in Marketing, previously known as the Master’s of Digital Marketing and Data Analytics (DMDA).

There are 328 million internet users in the United States, 60% shop online, 39% do all their shopping online. These percentages grow every year! Marketing Analysis is based around evidence-based metrics: Return on Ad Spending and Return on Investment. Three components that must be quantified in terms of marketing: success, effectiveness, and impact. These are the primary business objectives. Targeting the right audience, using the right channels, lead scoring, pricing strategies, and web analytics are a few of the roles a data scientist can take on. Understanding a brand's customers means understanding beliefs, attitudes, and opinions. The NY Times needed analytics to determine which factors led readers to purchase subscriptions. Skills that boost marketing careers include digital skills (Adobe Suite, Google Analytics/Adwords) and soft skills (Budgeting, Creativity).
